AAEC Mentoring for success program
The goal of the Mentoring for Success Program is to provide one-to-one senior mentors to younger students to address issues such as:
Mentoring first focuses on relationship building to establish mutual trust, respect, and friendship and then can develop to address specific goals and sensitive issues. Research shows that students involved in mentorship programs are:
- Attendance
- Academic performance
- Homework completion
- Positive behavior
- Positive attitude toward school/learning
Mentoring first focuses on relationship building to establish mutual trust, respect, and friendship and then can develop to address specific goals and sensitive issues. Research shows that students involved in mentorship programs are:
- less likely to begin using drugs or alcohol
- less likely to engage in violence
- more likely to attend school
- more likely to have a positive attitude toward school
- more likely to be positive toward elders and toward helping others

For current mentees, please click the button below to complete your feedback and evaluation form. This should done at the end of each semester that you are involved in the program.
